Houmous that Packs a Punch!

I’ve finally got my houmous mix down! It’s always been too bland in the past but the answer for me was more garlic and lemon. If you like it strong then you may like this variation.

Ingredients:

  • One can chickpeas
  • 1 and half lemons squeezed
  • Whole large garlic or 4/5 cloves
  • 2 tblsps light tahini
  • 2 tblsps water
  • 2 tblsps olive oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • Paprika
  • Cumin
  • Turmeric

I add about half a tsp of each spice. Then just blitz it all up, simple!

I actually make this in my nutri-bullet because it’s less cleaning than using the food processor. If you’re using less liquid though, I.e less lemon or water for a thicker texture, you’re best to do it in the processor because you don’t want bullet burnout 😉

I eat it with chopped veg and the awesome “Genius”, gluten / wheat free bread from Sainsbury’s

Enjoy!
